Brucher Thieltgen & Partners appoints Philippe Sylvestre as Partner
Following last year’s appointment of Anne-Marie Ka, Philippe Sylvestre has been promoted to Partner of Brucher Thieltgen & Partners. He represents the latest addition to the long-term partnership between Nicolas Thieltgen, Marie Bena and Nicolas Bernardy.

Philippe Sylvestre has been a member of the Luxembourg Bar since 2014 and joined Brucher Thieltgen & Partners in 2021. With ten years of experience under his belt, he assists the firm’s clients with all aspects of corporate and commercial law with a particular focus on shareholder and corporate disputes, and asset recovery. He has extensive expertise in assisting companies in distress, through reorganization or insolvency proceedings. In his new role, he will co-head the Restructuring & Insolvency department alongside Nicolas Bernardy.
Philippe Sylvestre is a well-known figure in the Luxembourg non-profit and legal associations sector. He is a member of the Association Luxembourgeoise des Mandataires de Justice, Legal Mondo, Insol’Europe and is the Luxembourg National Representative of the Association Internationale des Jeunes Avocats (AIJA). He is also a board member of the Fondation Caritas Luxembourg and the Chairman of the Board of Directors of SOS Détresse.
Finally, keen to pass on his knowledge, Philippe lectures at the Luxembourg School of Business and Management (Ecole de Commerce et de Gestion) and at the Luxembourg Chambre des Métiers. He is a regular speaker at national and international conferences and author of a number of publications covering insolvency proceedings and shareholders’ litigation.
